Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP)

What We Offer

Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) is a parish based retreat program and renewal process that is recommended by the National Conference of Catholic Bishops.  CRHP aims to renew the parish by helping people see how they, as individuals, are being called to serve God and the Holy Spirit parish.

This program provides direction and inspiration on the participant’s spiritual journey.  Holy Spirit hosts eight weekend CRHP retreats per year – two for English men, two for English women, two for Hispanic men and two for Hispanic women.  The retreats are made up of 10-20 participants, each lead by a Formation Team of past CRHP participants with oversight by the Continuation Team.  The heart of the weekend includes several talks from team members who share their personal stories of faith with retreat participants. There are also group activities, Scripture sharing and discussions on Christian living. The atmosphere of a CRHP weekend is very relaxed and dress is casual. Meals and snacks are provided.  It is strictly a voluntary program.

Why This Ministry Is Performed: CRHP is a program designed to bring members of a parish together in Christ. CRHP provides direction and inspiration on participant’s spiritual journey that is meant to last a life time.

Who Belongs: All within the parish are invited and encouraged to participate in a weekend CRHP retreat.  All past CRHP participants are welcome to volunteer on the Formation Teams and the Continuation Team.

How Often Do They Meet: Weekend CRHP retreats are held eight times per year.  Formation Teams meet regularly for six months leading up to each retreat. The Continuation Team meets monthly.
